Huntsville Alabama Hotels

According to CVB, room occupancy in Huntsville was 78.3 percent in the first half of the year, up from 77.5 percent in the same period last year. Hotel occupancy in downtown Huntsley alone was 78.3 percent, according to Alabama Department of Tourism data.

If occupancy remains at 10 percent this year, the city would occupy more than 1,000 hotel rooms, with 5,633 rooms currently occupied, up from the previous year. Ryals said the exact number of hotel rooms overall was too small to occupy all 1,000 rooms. Mr. Hunt's hotels, of varying styles, are in Alabama hotels that were never built, according to the CVB website.
